WHAT IS AN INFILL?
Infill developments are carefully planned out projects that remove a structure that is at or near the end of its life expectancy in a mature neighbourhood. We then create a new dwelling (or dwellings) that help to revitalize the community. This process is very important to the sustainability of any city.
Edmonton has some of the most beautiful mature neighbourhoods in Canada. The City of Edmonton has made it clear that these communities are a priority and in order to sustain the growth projected in the coming decades, infills MUST be a large part of the urban development planning in order to allow our tax dollars to effectively serve the citizens.
